Stanly Zeglin was born on March 29th 1923 to his loving parents Frank and Nellie Zeglin. Stanly had 3 siblings, Joseph, Bernadine, and Helen Zeglin.

WW2 began on September 1st 1939 with Germany invading Poland at this time Stanly was just 16 years old. However The USA did not get involved until 1941 when Japan attacked pearl harbor in which Germany declared war on America after America declared war on Japan. Just six months later on June 30th 1942 Stanly registered for the army in Twin Rocks, Cambria at the age of 19.
